Hey there! It's that time of the year again—my once-a-year writing session. This time, we're diving into The 2024 Retrospective—a bit late, yes, but just a little bit 😁
How was your 2024? Exciting? Productive? I hope so!
Looking Back at 2024
Before we jump into the main discussion, let’s rewind and see what I planned for last year—my 2024 resolutions. I listed them in The 2023 Retrospective.
A few key goals I set for 2024:
- Consistently create content for my personal brand
- Launch a few new projects
- Share more insights about content creation and digital trends
- Improve my workspace for better productivity
- Upgrade my gear for a smoother workflow 👀
But the biggest goal? Building my own SaaS and thriving as a full-time content creator.
So, how did it go? Honestly, I’m super excited to write this retrospective because… some of my biggest dreams finally came true! Let’s break it down.
Going Full-Time as a Content Creator
The biggest milestone of 2024? I finally became a full-time content creator! 🚀
At the start of 2024, I started receiving more brand deals, sponsorships, and freelance projects than ever. What changed? Consistency and visibility.
I actively shared my journey, insights, and expertise on X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. That visibility led to unexpected collaborations and brand opportunities that I couldn’t ignore. It was nerve-wracking at first, stepping away from traditional work, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Key Collaborations
I landed collaborations with some amazing brands and startups in 2024. One of the highlights was working with TechBrand, where I got to create educational content about digital tools and productivity.
Then, in mid-2024, I received an offer from CreativeLab to be a guest speaker in one of their webinars. It was my first time doing a live virtual session for a global audience, and wow, what an experience!
These opportunities didn’t come overnight. They were a result of consistent engagement, networking, and creating valuable content.
New Skill Unlocked: Video Editing
One major skill I developed in 2024 was video editing.
I had always focused on written content, but with short-form video content dominating platforms like TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, I knew I had to step up my game. I invested time in learning Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut.
The result? More engaging, high-quality videos that helped grow my audience exponentially.
Upgrading My Setup
Since I went full-time, I needed a proper workspace. 2024 was the year I finally:
- Built a dual-monitor setup for better multitasking
- Invested in a high-end mirrorless camera for sharper video quality
- Got a standing desk for better posture and workflow
- Soundproofed my space for improved audio quality in recordings
This upgrade significantly boosted my productivity and creativity. If you’re serious about content creation, investing in your setup is a game-changer.
My SaaS Journey (Still in Progress)
One of my biggest 2024 goals was launching my own SaaS product. Unfortunately, this one is still a work in progress. 😅
I did make some progress, though! I developed the initial MVP and gathered feedback from early testers. However, balancing content creation and building a SaaS business is tougher than I expected.
2025 is the year I officially launch it—no more excuses! Wish me luck! 🙏

Fitness Journey
One of my 2024 resolutions was to get in better shape. While I didn’t hit my ideal weight, I did build a solid fitness habit—consistent workouts, better eating habits, and more movement throughout the day.
New Gadgets & Self-Rewards
2024 was also a year of self-rewards. I invested in:
- A new MacBook for smoother video editing
- An iPad with Apple Pencil for digital planning and content sketching
- A Sony A7IV for high-quality photos and videos
- A 4K monitor to enhance my workflow
And… I finally got a PS5 for those much-needed breaks! Gotta have some fun too, right? 😆
What’s Next for 2025?
2024 was a wild ride, but now it’s time to focus on what’s next.
Top Goals for 2025:
- Launch My SaaS – No more delays. It’s happening.
- Expand My Content Strategy – More videos, blog posts, and collaborations.
- Grow My Community – Build a more engaged audience.
- Prioritize Health – Consistency in fitness and a healthier lifestyle.
- Try Something New – Maybe… start a podcast? We’ll see!
2024 was an amazing year, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity, challenge, and lesson along the way. Here’s to an even bigger, better, and more fulfilling 2025! 🚀
